Activities The “International Initiatives for Cooperation - IIC” Association is founded in 2003. IT is an organization founded by persons concerned by strengthening the civic society in Bulgaria; participation of local community in the local governance and the decision making process; social and economic development of the country; support to vulnerable groups; development of education and culture; equal opportunities and ethnic integration; conflict resolution; environment protection, etc.
The Association is entirely focused on developing and implementing projects in the following spheres: evaluating and assessing the social, economic and cultural situation of the municipalities on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria and the needs of the people living there; fundraising to support cultural, social, tourist, health, educational, sports and other events and institutions; developing, applying, implementing and managing local, regional, national and international projects and other events that will contribute to the spiritual, social, economic and cultural development of the country and the municipalities of the target region; independent economic assessment of programmes and projects; identifying alternative sources of financing of public, municipal, private and other organizations and acting as an middleman (agent) for providing funds; designing, organizing and delivering educational and qualification events, training courses and programmes in accordance to the community needs, including also in the sphere of business and entrepreneurship; providing professional consultancy services related to the activities of the Association including consultancy on financing and management of small and medium-sized enterprises and companies; developing and upgrading databases in and out of the country, using the means of telecommunication; stimulating the implementation of a wide range of activities related to the establishment of a system for social protection of children, young people and members of socially disabled groups; providing technical services to the members of the Association; participating in cooperation with other similar organizations in the realization of the planned activities; cooperating with Bulgarian and foreign organizations which have identical objective and activities; membership in other local, regional, national and international organizations and informal structures; publishing, printing and distributing brochures, informational newsletters, advertising materials and other publications that the Associations consider will help achieve the objectives of the Association.
