Greek organization is looking for partners

The main idea is to set a non formal network of organizations working in the youth field. I know that there are already some networks set up and running, but this one will deploy based to frequent physical meetings (4 or 8 precisely) for the next two years forming its own policies based on current realities of partners.

The funding will be requested by the European Commission and there is a strong possibility to achieve it, as it is asked to fulfill minimum criteria of 3 partners at least from EU member countries.

The objective set for this communication is to raise at least one partner form each member country of the European Union. Though it is foreseen the participation of additional countries.

You may download additional information by clicking here (http://www.geniusmobility.eu/index.files/partnershipconcept.pdf).

Greek organization is looking for partners

I am writing on behalf of Orfeas Organization that is a host/send/coordinating organization in Greece. We are running four Youth Information Offices in cooperation with the Municipality of Xylokastro, Municipality of Velo and Municipality of Vocha and we host/ coordinate 21 long/short term voluntary placements all year long.
Beside our hosting/coordinating projects we are very active in sending volunteers as well, in particularly short term volunteers and we are looking for hosting organizations that host volunteers for short term period (3 weeks - 1 month). We have already sent many volunteers in the last years and our goal is to widen our cooperation in Europe and build a steady partnership with the hosting partners.

We are planning to apply to EACEA with the 1st February deadline to host and send short term volunteers.

About the background of our youngsters: The EVS placements that we apply for give opportunity for youngsters with fewer opportunities to join European Youth Program. The profile of the volunteers is youth with less opportunity, typically youngsters with educational difficulties, cultural differences, social-economical and/or geographical difficulties..etc. For most of them this will be the first time to travel abroad, to have international experience, to experience being European citizen, to stay independent and they are given the opportunity for mobility.

The duration of the project we would like to send / host short term volunteers for 1 month (duration of the activity) is: August 2009 - August 2010.

If you are interested in this cooperation, please let me know.

If you have any question, don't hesitate to contact me.

English organization is looking for partners

My name is Joshua Antonini and me and my organization are still in the early stages in organising an exchange and we are still currently looking for a partner. If you are still looking for a partner please get in touch, below is what we hope to achieve on our youth exchange. And we are flexible.

We are a group of individuals aged 16 to 21 currently studying at Basingstoke College Of Technology. We are all interested in participating in an exchange in Europe to take part in voluntary work preferably with children. A young woman from our town was a short term volunteer in Europe and loved it. We are hoping to get funding from the EU youth programme, we hope this would be beneficial for the children as well as ourselves.

Our Aim: As the majority of the students participating are music-based students, we hope to use our percussion musical skills to combine learning activities with fun experiences for both parties. Others in the group are from the Hospitality/Catering and Care department; we also hope to run activities using their skills combined such as finger painting, baking and simple learning games. Depending on the funding we would like to take the children on day trips such as a trip to the zoo, the beach and any other facilities that are locally accessible.

Our Outcome: Although we will only be there for a short time, we would like to help and make a difference; we hope the outcome would give both the children and the group an enjoyable learning experience.

As this is our first volunteer / exchange experience we hope you could give us the opportunity to help and be involved in your project, we would be grateful if you consider what we have to offer as we believe this will be a great learning experience for us.

We would appreciate it if you got back to us - Blendz Exchange Group.

Asociation "Comunidad Klabikum" who works for the sociocultural activity in the city of Alicante (spain) is looking for partners to do a bilateralexchange next summer.

Association Community Klakibum is an entity of the sociocultural environment whose nature is the development of musical learnings with social impact. Its activity troncal from the beginnings is the constitution of blocos of Samba-reggae (gender Brazilian musical afrobahiano) although at the present time we also impart teachings of Percussion Malinke of Guinea and dol?aina in its traditional slope and applied to the contemporary music. Our musical directors are Pablo Ortiz (Brazilian percussion), Koutou (percussion malinke of Guinea), Ram?n Laughed (dol?aina and saxo).

The classes and tests of the different groupings are developed in spaces of municipal ownership of the North Area of the City of Alicante (Social Centers, Classrooms of Culture and Parks). The participants in our activities are, mainly, adolescents and young (from 12 years), although we also have groups guided mature population. At the present time we have 73 people inscribed in different age fringes. The population of the neighborhoods in those that we work makes that our groups have the multicultural component, what transforms them into suitable spaces for the coexistence intercultural. Our work falls inside the environment of the Cultural Community Development and he/she has for motor the music.

Association Community Klakibum is born in the spring of 2007 like an activity inside the Program 2007 of Virgin Collective Intercultural from the Remedy to proposal of a small group of fond musicians and professionals with vocation of energizing the sociocultural activity of our city. The initial and current patron of our activities is Works Social Box Mediterranean through the program Cam Encounter although this year the City council of Alicante (Town council of Action Social-plan North Integral Area) has also been added.
The projection for the 2009 is the consolidation of our activities like permanent learning spaces as well as the boarding of other cultural necessary expressions so that the blocos reaches the dimension of aesthetic integral expression: I sing, it dances, street theater, etc.
At the present time we are opening the way to the European environment, reason for which we make a call for the establishment of knots with other entities with those that to share associative experience and passion for the music. The Brazilian music in its bloco (batucada) version is experiencing a strong expansion in Europe and it would be good that we spread knots that allowed us trasvasar experiences and to grow with community conscience, of transnational movement.

A group from the Altea (Alicante), in the Mediterranean Sea

Hello! We are a group from the Altea (Alicante), in the Mediterranean Sea, and we are interested in develop an youth exchange in the next summer in Action 1.1. about the music:

The project revolves around an exchange of music through non-formal learning. We prepare the living-palces for young people from another member countries in this project to youth, then go to visit his country. reception and dispatch.
The music in this case serves to link or bridge between different cultures and musical styles, as something that has come together and unites young people is undoubtedly the music. This being one of the identification of youth .
With this project we want to reach the fusion of two musical groups from different socio-cultural contexts, to share music through workshops, activities on knowledge of local and regional music, and acquire knowledge of other new instruments for them, and can be able to play it .
With the fussion of the groups and these new musical knowledge acquired in the future be able to use this new style of music and giving it a high profile in the respective countries.
With this meeting they will have the opportunity to exchange experiences and show the compositions that they make work together.
On the other hand the rapprochement between the two groups will do that they work together, and can be able to tolerance and eliminate prejudices and stereotypes, in addition to knowing the culture, cuisine and location of the area

Our organisation have been working many years with the EU-programme mainly with youth exchanges, seminars but also lately with EVS. Please see info about our different projects below.

I am now looking for an exchange partner in Europe prefferably to host us for the summer of 2009- but we are of course open to host first and different constellations (bi-tri-multi). We would then be happy to host you here in Molndal/Gothenburg, for example in the beginning of 2010. We have a mixed group of teens about 14-16 years old. We do not yet a fixed theme or focus and we are open to suggestions that can be worked out together with the teens.

Please send any according information if you are interested in cooperating with us!

Best Regards,

Sara Lesch
